According to leaks, the official start of Team of the Season will take place on Friday, April 29th, which means we still have a week to play. The Community Team of the Season will most likely be the first release, which means voting for the first roster could start on Friday, April 22nd. This week we may see some early TOTS and SBC challenges, and possibly the return of FUT Player Days. 

It turned out that TrustyFutTrader wasn't that reliable when it announced that FUT Captains would be the next promotion in FUT 22 on Thursday 10th February. While the timing was incorrect, the promotion is already live, using the same concept of selecting players who have been captains of their club or country. New FUT hero variants have been introduced with insane upgrades, and modern captains are also in the running.

In addition to squads being released in packs, regular objective players have also become available, and icons have also received daily SBCs! FUT Captains kicked off on Friday, April 8 at the regular time of 13:00 ET / 18:00 BST, with Team 1 joining the packs. The promotion will run for two weeks, with Team 2 appearing on Friday, April 15 again at 13:00 ET / 18:00 BST.

The new set of cards went into packs at approximately 13:00 ET / 18:00 BST on the day of release, just like all other FUT promotions. Team 2 will arrive on Friday, April 15 for an additional week, followed by the Team of the Season Awards on Friday, April 22.
