FIFA 20 offers several ways to enjoy matches in different ways, including street football and indoor football in the lap mode. In the following lines, we are going to explain you how each game modality works, such as the player career mode, the coach career mode and the story mode within the back mode. Remember that FIFA 20 is currently available for PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One and PC. In addition, there is a "Legacy" version for the Nintendo Switch, with only updated team rosters, but with no news and career mode.
Career mode is one of FIFA's main attractions and offers two options when starting out: player or coach. As a player, the user can create his own athlete or take control of a soccer star and control his career through matches. It is possible to play with the whole team, as in a normal Fifa match, or limit yourself to your player for greater immersion. If the user decides to start with "player" mode, at the end of his career it is possible to retire and become a coach.
According to the player's actions during the match, your athlete will be evaluated and will earn points to become even more skilled. The performance average and actions, both positive and negative, are shown in the upper right corner of the screen. There is the possibility to request the ball with the pass button even when the player chooses to take control of only his athlete.
Career as a coach
In this modality, it is also possible to create and customize your coach to manage one of the great teams down to the smallest details. The user takes care of all the financial part of the club, hiring and selling players, scouts, training, choosing which tournaments to participate in, holding conferences and more. The matches can be played directly or just simulated according to the quality of the team that was assembled.
The return mode, "spiritual" successor to the classic "Fifa Street", gives access to street football, indoor football and the game's story mode. The campaign follows in the footsteps of a personalized athlete created by the player through various street competitions, while dealing with problems that can arise from personality clashes within the team.
As in career mode, you can choose to control the entire team or just your player in matches that can be three to five members, with or without goalkeepers. According to the athlete's performance, he earns points to become increasingly skilled during the match. At the end of each round, there is also the possibility to recruit a member of the defeated team to your team.
